Yesterday, I attended my 2nd post-surgery appointment and after much prodding and probing, the result is that I’m grounded 😦 Another week off work, and part-time work to the end of the month! Good part? The ‘bionic’ eye is healing very well and I get more time for stitching, even if only for a short stretch at a time 😆
I have a few finishes to share with you.
Finish No. 1 for 2011: A gift for Gaby, with whom I have a birthday exchange. Gaby said she loved the design and wanted to stitch it some day. I framed it in a rustic green purchased frame and really like how it turned out. Gaby has let me know she received it a couple of days before the big day and her son took hold of the parcel and refused to let her open it until the big day. Hope you like it, Gaby!
Design: Dutch Strawberries The Goode Huswife
Fabric: 32 count Vintage Country Mocha
Finish No. 2: Hornbook Sampler, as displayed in my previous post.
Finish No. 3: Miss Mary Mack, La D Da – This is actually a WIP I started sometime last year.
Design: Miss Mary Mack, La D Da
Fabric: 35 count Northern Cross Tea linen (colour not showing well in picture)
Threads: HDF 5300 Basic Black premium (1 over 2)
You didn’t believe me when I told you I’d found my turbo needles, did you? 😆
Off to start my next project.
Happy Stitching 😉
