Travel & Stitching Update

Hi, Friends!

Sorry I haven’t been around blogland for some time.  I seem to have lost my rhythm a bit, thought I’m still managing a few stitches most evenings.

In the first week of September I took a short holiday to Kalgoorlie-Boulder, where DH has been working since May. It’s the heart of the Western Australian Goldfields and home to one of the world’s largest mines – the KCGM Golden Mile Super Pit. Here are some photos I took of the city and the mine, which is undescribably huge.

On the stitching front, Sara Hathorne is coming along slowly but surely. Here’s progress so far…

I’ve missed my stitching friends and I’m going to spend this weekend catching up with as many blogs as I can.

Happy Stitching 😉

    Olá (Portuguese).
    Like you either I am fluent in languages or I understand them: being Portuguese enables me of understanding Spanish and Italian, though, of course not speaking or writing; I had French at school and I took my degree in German and English (languages and literatures), which is a plus in the web world.

    Today I took my time to go through your blog and pictures and had leave a word here to congratulate you for all the beautiful pieces either you have made or received.

    Thank you for sharing those pictures. Those mines look awesome. I can’t imagine all the work that went into digging that huge hole. Your stitching is gorgeous! Have a great weekend!

    Glad you enjoyed your holiday. I havent been to Kalgoorlie yet, dont know if I could handle all that red dust! I’m a down south girl, give me Margaret River/Denmark anyday.

    Beautiful Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s pictures! I think my next overseas trip will be Australia because my best friend live in Melbourne now. Love the KCGM Super Pit pictures. Your Sara Hathorne is gorgeous. As always, your stitching is so neat and beautiful. 🙂 Happy stitching. Take care. {{{Hugs}}}

  6. Oh my, I missed Kalgoorlie on my last trip “Down Under”. Wish I hadn’t. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing the photos. Love Sara Hawthorne! Can you tell me the designer’s name? This is one I’d love to stitch. Your stitching is stunning! Always look forward to your blog updates. Hugs, Barb
