Thank You, Girls!

I’d like to say a huge thank you and {{hugs}} to KarenV, CindyF, Patti, Barbara and AnneS for their advice and encouragement, which has given me a new stitching experience with 1 silk thread over 2with Drawn Thread’s Marriage of the Minds. Here’s what I was able to stitch on Sunday afternoon. Sorry about the poor pictures – this was the best I could do in artificial light.

Anne, you’re right – the Gloriana is slightly thinner than the NPI silks.
So far, I’m very happy with the way it’s going 🙂

Thanks, girls 😉

You are so very welcome Pokua. I now really dislike stitching with 2 over 2 and have a birth sampler to stitch for my son and daughter-in-law’s almost due baby (the baby is due on August 3, 2009) and they included Aida which I hate and the only piece of Antique White I had was 28ct so I started to stitch it over 2 and HATED it. I have now ordered some Antique White 32ct so I can go back to my 1 over 2 as per usual. I am really glad I was able to help a little bit. Lots of Love Patti xxx

You are most welcome! Your wip is
BEAU-TI-FUL!!!! I used to really worry about getting full coverage. Some pieces look prettier with less thickness. I have learned so much from other stitchers since blogging and I am trying new design styles, new fabrics, flosses….it’s like a big new world!! I used to stitch one thing at a time…now I enjoy rotating 10!! Life is short…don’t be afraid….enjoy every stitch:)

  3. KarenV says:

That is looking absolutely gorgeous so far! I’m glad myself and the other ladies could help you out and I’m looking forward to further progress pictures 🙂

  4. Barbara says:

It’s so beautiful, Pokua! I love it!!!

  5. Anne S says:

You’re welcome 🙂 I have to admit I was really shocked with the difference between the NPI and Gloriana (although admittedly only certain Gloriana colours) – your start is really beautiful 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your progress as time goes on 🙂
